Jack Lindsay Duncan was a pilot with 440 Squadron during the Second World War. He was from Detroit, Michigan. He became a prisoner of war on November 21, 1944 after his Typhoon PD 523 was hit by flak near Horst. He belly landed in enemy territory.
In Harry Hardy's logbook, Hardy noted that Duncan had his hair burnt off and finger cut open by the Gestapo.
